SNS week of 11/18/2018

The SNS 100 week of 11/18.  Originally, this was going to be a combined week with 11/11 as I was away down in Florida for the Thanksgiving holiday.  However, upon the return, I had computer problems as I was scammed, thus delaying my blogging. 

The first Christmas song appears this week.  Of course, in this day and age, stations, both terrestrial and satellite, start playing holiday songs as early as November 1st.    The one new song in rotation is Katy Perry's "Cozy Little Christmas".    It's an awesome song, surpringingly so, as Perry hasn't had a hit in several years.    It has sort of a bouncy, Carolina beach music vibe to it, and is soulful, unlike her recent work.    It makes an impressive debut this week, second only to the new song by The Revivalists.   "You and I" follows their #1 "All My Friends", and is almost as awesome.    This is one of the best bands out there.

Speaking of #1, we have a new one, as Caroline Rose's "Jeannie Becomes a Mom" replaces "All My Friends" at the top.   Actually, the SNS 100 is a Caroline Rose sandwich, as her prior song "Soul No. 5" is in the #100 position.
