SNS weeks of 2/25 and 3/4/2018

Moon Taxi's "Two High" holds for a second week at the top, as a little hiatus causes a "double issue" this time around.    Except for Bleachers' "I Miss Those Days" which moves from 15 to 9.   The two Hegazy songs swap positions 7 and 10, with the controversial "Here to Stay" moving to the 7 position.   The Palms and Christina Taylor both enter the top 20; it's the third entry there for both of those acts. 

Many debuts this week, all by artists who have been here before.   Some of them were heard on my Vermont trip in February (during the recent trek to Gore Mountain, I listened to mostly 1990's songs on my playlist.    Both Vance Joy and The Neighbourhood, with current songs firmly entrenched in the Top 10, have new debuts.  For the latter, it's off their new, self-titled third full-length album.   Veterans Pink, Allison Ireheta & Halo Circus, and Ty Segall also enter.

You will notice that the holiday songs are still on the chart, huddled near the bottom.   This is because many of the older songs have fallen of the charts, and there hasn't been enough new music added to offset this.  In fact, only the top 92 have points this week.  Any songs below that appear in the order that they did last week.     One of the holiday entries, Fitz & the Tantrums' "Santa Stole My Lady" is at #83, which marks five years in a row with at least one entry per blog on my SNS 100.  A blog will be dedicated to that feat when the song moves off the list.
