SNS 100 for week of 4/30/2017

It's a third week at the top for Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You".  The song spent 12 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.   There are two challengers, with The Palms at #2 and Fitz and the Tantrums at #3.  After no new entries in the top 20 last time out, only two enter this time as the top echelon is pretty tight and competitive.    Thomas Rhett has the Impact award as "Star of the Show" becomes his second top 20, and Train returns to the upper portion with "Play That Song" which inches up to #20.

The Hounds of Winter has three songs in the SNS 100, as "Lesson Learned" drops from its peak of 10 to number 12, but the follow-up, "I Get You" is the Mover of the Week, going from #70 to #47.   And "Oh Paige" their chart-topper from last fall, re-enters at #100. 

Little Steven, aka Steven Van Zant, probably better known as the sideman to The Boss, Bruce Springsteen in the E Street Band, as well as playing Silvio on The Soprano's, has also recorded on his own, namely his 1983 set Men Without Women, and the single "Forever".    He is releasing another effort on his own, Soulfire, and the title track makes an impressive debut at #57.
